What will it be??

We find out tomorrow if the baby will be a girl or a boy!! I am so excited!! It seemed that with my pregnancy with Will I just knew it was a boy for some reason. Almost everyone guessed it was a boy too and sure enough it was. With this pregnancy I just don't know so it will be a fun surprise tomorrow! What is your guess????? I'll be sure to let you know after my doctors appointment!

Jerry VIII

It's hard to believe that this year we carved Jerry VIII! Nick and I carved Jerry I on our very first date eight years ago! Each year brings such sweet memories!

Nick and Lee busy at work!

To top of the night we had some hot apple cider to enjoy. Will loved blowing on it as he said it was "hot, hot, hot."

Here are the finished products...

A rainy day activity

It seemed that the rain would just not stop last week so we decided to make some homemade playdough one afternoon while one of Will's sweet little friends named William was over to play.

It was so cute watching them put the cookie cutters on their head and say "hat, hat, hat." It kept them entertained while I mixed up the water, oil and food coloring.

Next, they helped me stir, stir, stir...

Then we all mixed the water mixure with hot flour, salt and cream of tarter. After it cooled it was finished and ready to be played with!

I will have to admit that it looked like a flour bomb went off in the kitchen when we were finished.

The boys had a great time cutting out pumpkins, footballs and other fall shapes in their playdough!

If you want to the recipe just let me know. It is fun to make and fun to play with:) But be ready get messy!

boo boo

Will has learned that a boo boo is anything that hurts him. He loves to tell us when he gets a boo boo even if he just slightly bumps his head he will say "boo boo." A typical conversation around here goes like this...
W: "Mama, boo boo"
Me: "Oh, no! I am so sorry! Can I kiss your boo boo"
I kiss the boo boo and somehow it is magically gone and goes about playing again.

Well, this morning was a little different. I was getting him ready for church and after I put his shoes on he kept saying "boo boo." I knew they fit him so I said my usual spill and kissed his shoe and went about getting ready for church. He walked around the house for a while saying "boo boo." Nick and I both thought he just did not want his shoes on so we did not do anything about it. After a while he sat down took his shoe off and pulled out this toy screw thingy!!! Poor little buddy!! We laughed so hard and felt so bad! I guess we should take him more seriously when he says he has a boo boo:)

And baby makes FOUR!!!!

Yes, it is true! Lord willing in April we will have a new little angel to add to our family! We are very excited and thrilled to meet this new member to our family! I can't wait to see what it is like being a mom of two! I am 13+ weeks now so so thankfully we have made it through the first trimester. I have been a lot more sick with this little squirt than I was with Will so Nick thinks it is a little girl. We will have to wait and see what the Lord blesses us with!!!

I would like to ask you to be praying for the health and safety of this baby. Two weeks ago I had some major bleeding and cramping. It started when I was at Wal-Mart and I was completely convinced I had lost the baby! In my hysterics I called the doctors office and they let me come right in for an ultrasound. Turns out it was a sub chorionic hemorrhage. I had never heard of that at the time but I was just so thankful to hear the heartbeat. I have to go every week for an ultrasound to make sure the blood clot heals and the baby is fine. Over the past two weeks I have cried many tears, felt very anxious and had lots of mixed emotions but I was very relieved when I went for the second time today since it happened and the baby had a strong healthy heartbeat! This has been a good daily reminder that God is in control and He has his arms wrapped around this sweet baby. I am constantly having to remind myself to trust the Lord and not have a divided or anxious heart. But it was such a relief to hear that little heart beating away today!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
